Mass lobby

Gallery: Faiths at the Mass Lobby 2025

On Wednesday 9 July, over 5,000 people from every corner of the UK came together at Westminster to tell our MPs: this is a moment for leadership that protects what matters most — our health, our nature, our communities, our climate, and our future. (You can download a list of Faith for the Climate’s key demands to the UK government here.)

The Mass Lobby provided an opportunity for campaigners from all walks of life to meet with their MPs on the same day to have powerful conversations on issues they care about. Those who came also gathered at the Lobby Hub at Queen Elizabeth II Centre, where stalls, panel discussions, exhibitions, nature walks, and other inspiring sessions shone a spotlight on the range of issues surrounding climate justice.

Faith for the Climate was ever-present during the Mass Lobby, from our interfaith stall where attendees could receive information about the work different faith groups were doing to hanging written prayers on our prayer trees. We provided a quiet space in a dedicated prayer room for those who wished to have a spiritual moment during the day. Many came up just to chat about the work we were doing at the intersection of faith and climate justice, and these conversations were very much cherished.

Our chairperson, Canon Giles Goddard, hosted an enlightening panel with Rabbi Jonathan Wittenberg of EcoJudaism and Amandeep Kaur Maan, co-founder of Eco-Sikh UK. Jonathan and Amandeep shared how their faiths intersected with being stewards of our world, and finding environment-led solutions amongst their own faith communities.
