Then register for our December network gathering to learn about why and how Faith for the Climate is ramping up our support for the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty. This webinar is aimed at people of any faith in the UK, but all are welcome!
We’ll give you:
– A solid, clear pathway of action post-COP29
– Awareness and knowledge of what the Treaty is and why people of faith should support it
– Suggestions for concrete things we can do and what we can hope to achieve as faith groups in the UK
– Space and opportunities to grow multi-faith climate justice communities in different parts of the UK through our common focus on the Treaty.

Kamran Shezad – Bahu Trust
Kamran is the executive director of the Bahu Trust, and is a qualified environmental specialist. As a Muslim climate and nature campaigner, he is a strong advocate of using a faith-inspired approach in promoting the message of environmentalism and guiding behavioural change. He has been recognised by the ENDSReport Power List as one of the top 100 most impactful and influential environmental professionals in the UK.
Bokani Tshidzu – Operation Noah
Bokani has been Operation Noah’s Bright Now Campaign Officer since March 2020. She coordinates communication about the campaign with partners and liaises with religious organisations divesting from fossil fuels. Bokani was co-founder of sustainability start-up Vertigo Ventures and has previously interned in politics and finance. She has a degree in Politics with Economics from the University of Bath and a Masters in Computational Art from Goldsmiths’ College.
Maggie Mason – Member of Kendal Quaker Meeting and Global Justice Now
Maggie was a co-ordinator of the successful legal challenge to a Cumbria coal mine by a small local charity.
Izzie McIntosh – Global Justice Now
Izzie is the climate Campaign Manager at Global Justice Now, leading on demands for a Fossil Fuel Treaty in the UK and shaping Global Justice Now’s climate justice demands more broadly. Izzie has also worked as a migrant justice campaigner, focusing on immigration detention and deportations. This included being part of the team that brought the first legal challenge against the UK government’s policy to forcibly remove people seeking refugee protection to Rwanda.
