How to organise an interfaith vigil – Resource now available
Faith for the Climate is pleased to announce, in collaboration with The Climate Coalition, the release of a new resource on organising an interfaith vigil.
WRITTEN BY THE FAITH FOR THE CLIMATE TEAM, it is available here for all those involved in interfaith climate work.
The resource is in two parts, with the first underlining the principles of an inclusive interfaith vigil and the second outlining practical tips and advice to make sure your vigil runs smoothly and effectively. The Climate Coalition helped us to design and craft it so that that it’s user-friendly and relevant for any campaign. Rosh Lal, Faith for the Climate’s Movement Builder, said:
“The climate justice movement needs everyone and that includes people of faith. An interfaith vigil is a really powerful way to demonstrate the universal values of all faiths; of care, compassion and advocacy for the Earth and the marginalised. This resource will help anyone organise a vigil, whether it’s for the Climate Coalitions’ upcoming Great Big Green Week, or for any local or national campaign that requires a united voice from faith communities ”.
